We were lucky

This woodpecker we heared when we walked and we had luck to see this where a young one was feeded.
Most of the time we have our camera with us, when we walk or bike.
It was in the province of Limburg where this picture is made, but we have them in our garden as wel.

Knitting socks

Although I haven't started knitting my mittens yet, I can already show you some socks I've knitted. With the yarn in al those nice colors knitting socks is fun!

There are not many of my age who can knit socks but since I learned it as a girl in the age of 11, I have allways made them.

This is our view from our living room

There is a group of eight, but we don't see them all every day. Sometimes just a few, but we enjoy it!

Olga with a foal after my niece bought her.

I couldn't keep her, as I had no place for her ater troubles with the man who has breed her. I bought Olga as a foal. Her mym Martijntje was the first Friesian I could ride.
I kept Olga for 14 years. She died when she was nearly 20 in January 2009.

First message

This is the first day for my blogspot.
I'll put some pictures later. I want to get started to knit selbu mittens and I do knit socks already.

My animals are three dogs: a great Dane and two English Cocker Spaniëls.
We have chikkens, geese in a few breeds, like Cacklings and more, many tropical birds and swans, they live in the wildlife, but they stay next to us, at the canal and we feed them.

Horses and especially Friesians I like and during 14 years I'va had a Friesian mare called Olga.
